Stained Glass Biscuit Christmas Tree Decorations

img_0253

These stained glass Christmas biscuits are so pretty and will get your kids in the Christmas spirit. It’s so interesting to see how the lollipops melt into the mould, and exciting to use them to decorate the tree! You might find they have all been gobbled up by Christmas though.

What you will need:

125g butter, softened
1/3 cup iconfectioners sugar
1 egg, at room temperature
2 cups plain flour
ten lollipops

Preheat oven to 180 degrees celcuis. Mix butter and icing sugar. Add egg. Mix in two cups of flour. Form into dough and roll out flat. Cut shapes out with cookies cutters, and be sure to take a circle out of the middle of the biscuit. Make a little hole in each biscuit with a lollipop stick.

Take the lollipops (one colour at time) and wrap them in a piece of plastic. Bang them with the rolling pin until crushed. Sprinkle them into centre of biscuits. Bake for 10-15 mins.

When cool, thread some silver string through the hole and hang on the tree!
